Provence – April 16th – 21st 2018
Thirty seven members have booked for this six day tour of Provence.
We shall be staying at the Bristol Hotel in Avignon for five nights, taking days out to:
Aix-en-Provence, Cezanne’s birthplace, where we discover the life and landscape that inspired him.
Arles is home of the magnificent Roman Cathedral of Sainte Trophime, where Van Gogh is said to have lost his sanity. We will visit the Carrières de Lumières show at Les Baux de Provence.
Nîmes, and the 2,000 year old Pont Du Gard – considered as the best testimony to the greatness of the Roman Empire.

Autumn 2018 – Yorkshire, September 21st – 25th 2018.

The cost is £560 and is for four nights in the Majestic Hotel in Harrogate. We will be visiting Newby Hall, Harewood House, York and the Minster, Fountains Abbey…..and much more …..including, of course, Betty’s Tea Rooms!
Spring 2019 – Berlin, Dates yet to be decided.
The tour will be centred on Berlin, one of Europe’s greatest cultural cities.
The itinerary may include the Brandenburg Gate, Check point Charlie and Gendarmenmarkt, Holocaust Memorial and Pariser Platz, the Reichstag Tour, East side Gallery and Museum Island. We will visit Potsdam for a day exploring the Sanssouci Palace, the Bridge of Spies and maybe the Cathedral by Shinkel.
