Welcome to The Arts Society Royal Leamington Spa

With inspiring monthly lectures given by top experts in their field, together with special interest days, day visits and cultural holidays both at home and abroad, joining The Arts Society is a great way to be entertained, to learn, have fun and make new and lasting friendships.

You might also like to volunteer to help conserve and preserve our artistic heritage. We offer opportunities to learn new skills, meet people with similar interests and support the arts within our local community. We also support a number of local and regional artistic projects and activities.

Our next lecture will be on Wednesday 2nd February 2022 The Land of the Midnight Sun: Norway’s Golden Age of Painting, when our lecturer, Stella Grace Lyons B.A. M.A., will look at the artists from Norway’s ‘Golden Age’ who captured the far north with drama and romance and interpreted their wild country as a mythical, eerie entity.

50 Treasures

Fifty Treasures of the West Midlands, a collection of less well known artistic objects and places across the area, has just been published by the Arts Society. Arts Society members from 17 local societies from across the West Midlands, including Royal Leamington Spa, were asked to suggest objects and places they love but which visitors to the area might miss, for inclusion in this new regional guide.

Included from the Warwick / Leamington area are Guy’s Cliffe Walled Garden, Hill Close Gardens and the Sheldon Tapestry in Market Hall Museum in Warwick, the Czechoslovak Freedom Fountain in Jephson Gardens, Leamington Spa and Chesterton Windmill.
